Funding

AccessAfrica 2 is a EU and Global Health EDCTP3 funded project that aims to improve the ethical review and regulatory capacity for clinical trials in two Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries.

The project is coordinated by the University of Oslo in Norway, by Prof. Rosemarie de La Cruz Bernabe from the Centre of Medical Ethics, and implemented by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology, Uganda National Health Research Organization, Uganda Virus Research Institute, and Jimma University, Ethiopia.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe under GA No 101103296 and is supported by the Global Health EDCPT3 Joint Undertaking and its members.

The project started on July 1, 2023, and it will run for 36 months.
